Foster Barham Zincke, 410 pages, second edition greatly enlarged 1893, Publisher: Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent, London, in Acrobat format - 8Mb. Part I consists of a history of Wherstead plus 2 chapters on local superstitions and beliefs and 4 chapters on the East Anglican Dialect. Part II is new to the 2nd edition "consists of some short comments on the Domeday entries of the Manors comprised in what became the parish of Wherstead. Pull out Map of Wherstead, tissue guarded Frontis by Ed Pocock and ten tissue guarded illustrations including phtographs of the Rev. G. Capper & Sir Robert Harland.
